National carrier Air Astana has started to operate its flights in May, 2002. For 5 years of its existence, Air Astana Airline has increased its fleet from 3 up to 18 aircrafts, and now it consists of modern aircrafts, such as Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 757-200, Airbus A321, А320 and Fokker-50. The airline conveys about 5 thousand passengers a day and operates 18 international and 25 domestic flights. Simultaneously with expansion of fleet the company is conducting systematic work to increase the level of in-flight service and to introduce new catering menu and services for the passengers of business and economy classes. On the company website www.airastana.com it has been implemented new Internet Booking Engine which allows passengers to book their tickets and pay by credit card from the home or office. In a business class it will be shortly installed the personal TV screens. Also the special program for frequent flying passengers of Air Astana « Nomad Club » will be introduced soonest.
