The exhibition will again bring together several specialised events: MiningWorld Central Asia 2009, the 15th Anniversary Central Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition and Forum; KazComak 2009, the 6th Kazakhstan International Heavy Construction & Machinery Exhibition; and KazMet 2009, the 2nd Central Asian International Metallurgy, Metal-Working and Machinery Construction Exhibition.
Over 300 companies from 26 countries will take part in the exhibitions. China, Norway, Finland, Germany and Russia will take part with national stands. The total area of the exhibition exceeds 800m².
KazMet 2009 will present leading manufacturers of metallurgical and metal-working equipment, and machine building plants from the CIS and abroad. The exhibition will contribute to the development of a successful dialogue between manufacturers and consumers in the metallurgical industry, and promises to become a key event for the region’s mining and smelting industry.
In total, 160 companies from 18 countries have confirmed their participation in MiningWorld Central Asia 09. KazComak 2009, the 6th Kazakhstan International Heavy Construction & Machinery Exhibition, which will be held during MiningWorld Central Asia 09, is an important event for exhibitors and visitors. Exhibitors will demonstrate the latest technologies and equipment for quarrying; asphalt production; road repair; handling machinery; and industrial, housing and public utilities construction.
It is expected that the Spanish Manufacturers Association of Construction and Mining Equipment (ANMOPyC), «Komek Machinery Kazakhstan», «DRC International», Chinese machine builders and domestic companies present their products and services.
MiningWorld Central Asia 2009 is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. MiningWorld Central Asia 2009 is organised by the Kazakhstani exhibition company Iteca, together with its international partners ITE Group Plc (UK), GiMA (Germany), EUF A.S. (Turkey) and ITE China.

An environmental forum, EcoTech – the Central Asian International Exhibition for EcoTechnologies and EcoServices for Municipal Sectors – will be held concurrently with MiningWorld Central Asia 2009 in Atakent Exhibition Centre, Almaty. The topics to be discussed at the forum include: current environmental problems; pollution reduction; storage and disposal of industrial and household waste; air pollution; compliance with international and Kazakhstani environmental standards; and many other issues.
