According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan in 2010-2012 for the construction of the transit corridor “West China – West Europe” is planned to construct 2,452 km of roads, of which 1,390 km will be four-and six-lane highway 1 category. To create the Kazakh section of the transcontinental corridor will require 17.3 million cubic meters of rubble, 3 million tons of cement, 540 tons of asphalt, about 500 thousand cubic meters of concrete products, more than 16 thousand road signs. In construction work will involve more than 9 thousand units of road-building machinery.
In 2010-2012, the construction of public roads is planned to allocate 9.3 billion dollars.
